LTspice - modelling another typical MW radio oscillator.
Let's have a MW radio oscillator of ~1000 kHz.
As a template (not in all details) was taken the mixing oscilator of RCA Victor GP711.
Instead of the pnp germanium transistor was used a generic npn silicon transistor Q1.
First measuring voltage at point e - emitor of transistor Q1 and the current threw C3.
Similar shape I have seen on the scope, therefore I undertook this simulation.
At the second pic there is voltage and current at the base of Q1.
It ist visisble, that Q1 is closed for a long part of the period.
